Every spring, the Northern Cederberg transforms into one of South Africa’s most spectacular flower destinations, with colourful wildflowers carpeting valleys and mountain slopes after the winter rains. Located in the Agter-Pakhuis Valley near Clanwilliam, AfriCamps at de Pakhuys places you within easy reach of the famous Biedouw Valley while surrounding you with wildflowers right on the farm.
Flower season (late July to September): Wildflower season begins after the winter rains, with peak displays usually occurring from mid-August to mid-September. Depending on rainfall, flowers can appear as early as late July and continue into October.

AFRICAMPS MAGOEBASKLOOF
MAGOEBASKLOOF, LIMPOPO
Spring transforms Magoebaskloof into a floral wonderland as thousands of blossoms fill the region’s gardens. AfriCamps Magoebaskloof is set on Cheerio Gardens, the legacy of Sheila “Box” Thompson, whose passion for plants transformed the area into one of South Africa’s most celebrated spring destinations. Her collection grew through exchanges with gardeners around the world, including rare azalea seeds traded with the Japanese Emperor’s physician for indigenous South African blue-flowering plants. Located on a working protea farm in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom, AfriCamps at Stanford Hills offers the opportunity to experience a uniquely South African floral landscape.
