What is the AfriCamps Loyalty Programme?

The AfriCamps Loyalty Programme offers a discount to new and previous guests. Guests need to sign up to become a qualifying member.

• Nights 1-5: Save 5% simply for registering! (Bronze)
• Nights 6-10: Save 10% (Silver)
• Nights 11-20: Save 15% (Gold)
• Nights 21+: Save 20% (Platinum)

What are the loyalty tiers and benefits?

We have 4 loyalty tiers: bronze, silver, gold and platinum.

• All guests will start at bronze status. 5% discount is offered at this level.
• To qualify for silver status, you need to have already booked and stayed 5 nights, at any of our camps. On all future bookings, you will qualify for a 10% discount.
• To qualify for gold status, you need to have already booked and stayed 10 nights at any of our camps. On all future bookings, you will qualify for a 15% discount.
• To qualify for platinum status, you need to have already booked and stayed 20 nights at any of our camps. On all future bookings, you will qualify for a 20% discount.

Once I reach Silver, Gold, or Platinum, do I keep it forever?

You will be able to move up to the next tier, but once you reach Platinum, you will stay on Platinum. AfriCamps reserves the right to adjust rewards discount percentage and tier structure at any time

How do I know what tier I am on?

If you log in to the rewards dashboard, you will see which tier you are on and how many nights are still required to move to the next tier.

Is membership free?

Yes, membership is free; all you have to do is register.

Do I need to sign up?

Yes, to qualify for the automatic discount, you need to register.

How long does it take for a qualifying night to be added to my account?

Please allow 24 hours after checking out for the last booking to reflect on your profile. Make sure there are no outstanding balances.

How do I redeem my loyalty discount?

To redeem your discount, make sure you have registered for our loyalty programme and that you are logged in when you are making your next booking. The discount will automatically apply.

What counts as a qualifying night?

The following is required to qualify as a valid night:

• You have made a direct booking on www.africamps.com using your registered email address
• You have stayed at the camp and checked out already
• You have no outstanding balances on your booking

Do multiple tents booked on the same reservation count as multiple nights?

Each calendar night per tent counts as a qualifying night. If you booked two nights in two tents, you will have four nights added to your qualifying nights.

Do free stays count?

Your free stay will not count towards you rewards level. If you won an AfriCamps competition or have been awarded a free night, these will not count. Any fully paid additional nights added to such a booking will count.

Do cancelled bookings count?

No, your loyalty programme profile will automatically be updated accordingly. Only past stays that took place will count.

Do no-shows count?

If you did not show, your nights may be removed from our system to allow for other guests to book. In this case your nights will not be added to your qualifying nights.

Do amended bookings count?

Yes, the amendments to your booking will pull through to the loyalty system.

Do nights booked through third-party websites or travel agents count?

Only direct bookings on www.africamps.com will count towards our rewards. You need to be logged in on www.africamps.com for the loyalty discount to take effect.

Will my previous AfriCamps nights count?

Yes.

How far back will you look at previous stays?

We will consider stays from the very beginning of AfriCamps – November 2014.

How will you verify my previous stays?

Your previous nights booked will automatically be picked up on our system. This is checked against your registered email address.

Can I use my discount at all AfriCamps locations?

Yes, all camps are included in the loyalty programme.

Does the discount apply to accommodation only or the total booking?

The loyalty discount will only count for your AfriCamps accommodation. Extras can still be added to your booking, but the full price will be charged for extras. The discount does not apply to the cleaning fee.

Does the discount apply to children?

Yes, the discount will apply to the total accommodation fee which includes additional guests.

Does the discount apply to premium tents?

Yes, the discount applies to all tents at all camps.

Can I book for friends or family using my discount?

The guest who makes the booking using the loyalty discount needs to be present for the booking. The discount is only allowed if the booker is also staying.

Can I use my discount on group bookings?

Yes

Can I use my discount on multiple tents in one booking?

Yes

Can I combine my loyalty discount with other promotions, vouchers and specials?

You will not be able to combine your loyalty discounts with other specials or promo codes.

Can I use my loyalty discount when redeeming a gift voucher?

Yes, in some cases a gift voucher (with a clear rand-value) may be used to settle the balance on your booking. Prize vouchers or promo codes will however not apply.

Do gift voucher bookings count towards my stay total?

Yes, as long as there are no outstanding balances on your booking.

What happens if I change my email address?

Please notify us via hello@africamps.com and we will assist you.

Can family members share an account?

Each account can only be linked to one email address. To make the most of your rewards level, make sure you always book using your registered email address.
